Who is testing there?
FOCUS Mobility is one of the established independent testing bodies in Germany for E-Bikes and urbane-mobility. Together with Velomotion and PT Labs, the bikes are tested twice: once in the lab, once on the road. Over 60 criteria are assessed, including range, handling, ergonomics, safety, and build quality.
The Mica Pro scored particularly well in:
● stable driving behavior in city traffic
● a geometry built for everyday use and not for the brochure
● cleanly integrated components
What lies beneath the surface
Drive: ZentriDrive mid-drive motor, 110 Nm torque, 900 W peak power. In practice, this means: inclines are conquered before they become a problem.
Battery: 720 Wh from Samsung. Enough range for long commutes without having to think about charging every other evening.
Gears and drivetrain: Enviolo continuously variable hub gears. Plus a Gates belt drive instead of a chain. Oil-free, quiet, and virtually maintenance-free. A rare combination in this price range.
Design
A simple frame. Internally routed cables. A custom-designed luggage rack. 29-inch tires for a smooth ride on mixed surfaces. An upright riding position that provides better visibility in city traffic.
