Development basis: Proven hardware, optimized for maximum reliability
The heart of the ZentriDrive stems from the close collaboration between Deruiz and the motor specialist GOBAO Motor. Their platform forms the basis of the system – robust, tested, and confirmed in independent trials.
The trade magazine Velomotion came to a clear verdict after a long-term test:
"Even at 250 watts continuous power for 15 minutes, the GOBAO motor showed hardly any reduction in power. It remains stable and delivers consistently high performance."

This thermal stability is crucial for sustained performance – even under high loads. With a torque of up to 100 Nm, the motor is on par with leading systems on the market and impresses with its efficiency and robustness.
Comparison of the peak power of different mid-drive engines:

Protection in all weather
The European climate places high demands on the durability of technical components. ZentriDrive motor It meets the IP X7 protection class and remains reliably sealed even in heavy rain or splashing water.
All CAN bus connections are equipped with waterproof connectors according to automotive standards – they permanently secure the signal transmission between motor and controller and prevent corrosion or moisture damage.
Intelligent control: Precision that makes performance tangible
Based on a stable hardware platform, a new control system for maximum control and efficiency was developed in a twelve-month co-development process between Deruiz and GOBAO. Over 1.000 hours of continuous load testing took place in the test lab – accompanied by real-time data, which was used to refine the motor control.
110 Nm torque – controlled, not accidental
A decisive step forward was achieved through the precise recalibration of the field-oriented control (FOC).
The measurement accuracy of the phase current was improved to 0,5%, and the field weakening was readjusted.
The result: The motor delivers up to 110 Nm of torque at a peak power of 900 W – stable, efficient and repeatable.
In final gradient tests (over 30% incline), the controller reacted within 50 ms as soon as a pedal pressure of over 85 Nm at under 22 rpm was registered via the CAN bus. The software switched to maximum power output in a flash, and the motor delivered 112 Nm for 2,1 seconds without thermal overload.
The test was repeated 500 times under identical conditions – without any loss of performance or overheating.
Finely tuned power distribution
Despite the high power reserves, the driving experience remains harmonious.
At speeds between 22 and 25 km/h, the system automatically reduces the torque to a stable, smooth plateau – for quiet, smooth driving without jerking or abrupt drops.
The result is a silky-smooth power delivery that is immediately and noticeably different from the typical e-bike thrust of other systems.
Top value in comparison
With a motor weight of only 2,8 kg, the ZentriDrive one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class.
Compared to common systems such as the Bosch Performance CX (100 Nm) or the Shimano EP801, it offers more torque with the same stability – especially noticeable on steep inclines and under heavy loads.

A high-resolution sensor with 40 signals per wheel revolution precisely measures every movement. This allows the system to react immediately to changes in cadence or load – the prerequisite for smooth, finely tuned support.
ZentriDrive also works intelligently during charging:
The Battery Management System The battery management system (BMS) performs a brief safety check on each charger before enabling the charging process. This procedure protects the battery and extends its lifespan – invisible technology that inspires confidence.
Smart control: The Deruiz app
The Deruiz E-Bike App combines driver and drive into a single unit.
Bluetooth allows you to adjust support modes, retrieve performance data, and save routes.
An example from the practical tests:
A driver configured the BOOST support It reduces the speed to 10 km/h to comfortably navigate its garage ramp – after which the system automatically reduces the power. This is how technology becomes a real everyday aid.
Safety and intelligence: AUTO and HOLD modes
AUTO mode
An integrated tilt sensor continuously measures the gradient and combines it with torque and speed data. The system automatically adjusts the assistance – more power uphill, more efficiency downhill.

When stopping on steep sections, the system activates a counter-torque in the motor within 300 milliseconds. The rear wheel locks gently, the bike remains stable – even on cobblestones or slopes.
